Oberon contains spiromesifen, a novel foliar contact insecticide/acaricide. The product effectively targets all developmental stages of mites and whitefly pests, resulting in long lasting control. It protects crops like brinjal, apple, cotton, chilli, tea, okra, tomato, and cucumber.
Bayer Oberon is a new chemistry with a unique mode of action. It contains spiromesifen, a chemical class of tetronic acid. It is a unique foliar contact insecticide/acaricide.
Spiromesifen works by disrupting the life cycle of mites and whiteflies. It acts on all developmental stages of pests, ensuring prolonged control and preventing damage to crops.
The active ingredient of Oberon, spiromesifen, acts by inhibiting lipid biosynthesis in insects, specifically targeting triglycerides and free fatty acids.
