Bayer Decis®2.8 contains deltamethrin, which helps farmers control both chewing and sucking pests that affect crops like cotton, tea, mango, and various vegetables.
Decis®2.8 is a non-systemic pesticide and contains the active ingredient deltamethrin, the world’s most effective synthetic pyrethroid insecticide. It is used in agriculture due to its photostability.
It acts through contact and ingestion, exhibiting a broad-spectrum control of chewing and sucking insects.
Deltamethrin, the active ingredient in Decis® 2.8, has strong affinity for the insect cuticle because of its high lipophilicity.
Once inside the insect’s body, it interferes with nerve conduction by acting on the axon, altering the sodium canal’s kinetics, and thereby interfering with nerve transmission, causing the death of the insect.
