Seeds can be readily treated on the farm with the help of a plastic bag or a plastic sheet. Alternatively, it can be treated in a machine that could be hand operated or electrically operated. The seeds need to be uniformly mixed with an appropriate amount of slurry and then shade–dried before sowing.
