Egnitus® contains the active compounds cyclanilide and mepiquat, which regulate important plant hormones to control vegetative growth and plant height in cotton crops. This controlled growth results in better fruiting and boll retention, leading to increased yields.
Egnitus® is a unique plant growth regulator with a dual mode of action. It regulates two crucial plant hormones—auxin and gibberellic—to manage vegetative growth in cotton crops effectively.
This support for controlled vegetative growth leads to healthier fruiting bodies. Furthermore, Egnitus® promotes boll retention, making them heavier and bigger, resulting in higher yields.
Egnitus® acts in two ways through its active ingredients, cyclanilide and mepiquat. Firstly, cyclanilide acts as an auxin transport inhibitor, preventing auxin from entering the abscission zone.
Secondly, mepiquat acts as a mild gibberellin synthesis inhibitor, limiting cell growth but not affecting cell division. Thus, Egnitus® regulates plant processes, supporting positive growth outcomes.
