Farmers face serious challenges in crop protection, particularly when dealing with sucking pests like the tea mosquito bug and jassid in crops like okra. These small insects can damage plants by feeding on them. But there is a solution to this: Bayer has created a powerful formulation called Sivanto Prime.
Sivanto Prime is a novel chemistry inspired by nature. It contains flupyradifurone, which plays a key role in pest control. When applied, it controls the pest very quickly and is safe for beneficial insects like ladybird beetle. It helps crops get rid of pest pressure, allowing them to grow greener and healthier.
Flupyradifurone, in Sivanto Prime, belongs to Bayer CropScience’s own chemical class of butenolides. It controls various kinds of sucking insect pests, including aphids, whiteflies, and thrips.
It activates the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor in the insect’s central nervous system. The active substance is absorbed by the leaf and moves in the direction of juice flow, enabling quick and effective control of sucking insects.
Sivanto Prime works in the central nervous system of the insect as an agonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) of the insect. The active substance flupyradifurone mimics the natural neurotransmitter.
The long-lasting effect of the product results in a disorder of the nervous system of the insect and subsequent death.
Some of the benefits include
Effectively tackles neonicotinoid-resistant pests such as whiteflies and jassids.
It has an excellent environmentally safe profile. This makes it a secure choice for crop protection and an integrated pest management (IPM) program.
Provides significant benefits to growers, such as excellent speed of action, quick feeding cessation, effective virus vector control, and flexible applicability at any crop stage.

Climatic conditions do not have a direct impact on Sivanto Prime insecticide dosage recommendations. However, environmental factors such as rainfall and humidity may have an effect on the product’s efficacy and persistence after application. Always follow the product label’s specific guidelines and get advice from a certified specialist regarding your specific use case.
Sivanto Prime is an environmentally safe insecticide and has no direct side-effects on soil or crops when used according to label instructions. However, misuse or inappropriate application, on the other hand, can lead to harm to non-target organisms, such as beneficial insects.
The duration of Sivanto Prime’s effectiveness on the crop varies based on a number of parameters, including crop type, environmental conditions, application rate, and pest pressure.
