National Helpline for Farmers

All around the world, small farmers not only provide for their families, but also contribute to feeding the global population. Their productivity can be increased enormously through targeted support, especially in emerging markets.

Farmers face a diverse set of issues – be it unpredictable weather, pest infestations, plant diseases, increased resistances or changing market trends. To ensure a stable income for themselves, farmers also need to meet high quality demands. Bayer wants to help farmers increase their agricultural productivity by actively promoting information and giving advisory tailored to local needs.

In 2014, Bayer launched a national helpline for farmers. Farmers can place a toll free call on Bayer’s national helpline number 1800-120-4049 from both landline and mobile phones. The helpline will be operational between 09:00 am – 06:00 pm every Monday to Saturday. Calls will be answered by local agri-experts from 11 call centers located in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh.

In addition to this, Bayer supports farmers through various channels such as: a highly experienced team of field officers, a strong network of trade partners and the Bayer Solutions stores.
