Premise

Premise is used for the control of termites in the pre-construction as well as in the post-construction treatment.

MODE OF ACTION

Imidacloprid is antagonist to the nicotinic acetyl choline receptor in the central nervous system. It disturbs the proper signal transmission system leading to excitation of nerve cells. Consequently a disorder of the nervous system occurs leading finally to the death of the treated insect.

ADVANTAGES

  • Non-repellent insecticide which does not allow the termites to detect the gaps in the barrier formed during application
  • Premise does not kill termites immediately on contact and thus enables more termites to get exposed to the treated soil, giving a better control
  • Exposed termites on their return to the nest, transfer the toxicant to other mates which are not directly exposed to the soil, thereby causing indirect mortality

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

Dilute 2.1 ml of formulation in 1 L of water for the control of termites in buildings during pre and post-construction anti termite treatment.

Note: Treatment has to be carried out as per current BIS (IS 6313) practices
